Trail clear of blowdowns, easy to follow. Too much garbage in there! We packed out 100 feet of rope and a rubber raft. Fish visible from the bank.Pretty little lake.

The road is closed to cars several miles before the trail head. You will have to walk a good 2 miles up the road to reach Coal Lake trail head. It should be noted that you need a NW Forest Pass to park at this trail. (posted 7/21/07)
