Summary: There are many entrances along the way to the Trail,you can Hike or Bike as far or as short as you want,this is a beatiful trail down the Old Railway Tracks,There are Great views of the several diffrent aspects of the Ozarks from Farms to small Towns along the route that have interesting stops.There are several stops along the way with benchs or places to rest. Trailhead: From Springfield I-44 take the Kearney Exit towards Airport,take to Eldon Ave. and the Trailhead. Reviewed by sharron on 3/24/2012 this trail is actually called the frisco highline trail- goes from Springfield to BOlivar- about 30 miles. IT is paved from Springfield through Willard- about 8 miles. crosses over a number of bridges once you get past walnut grove (around 17-19 mile mark is where they start. very flat the whole way. there is a mcdonalds at the 5 mile mark (across the adjacent highway) in willard (6 mile mark) and in walnut grove (a little before the 15 mile mark) you can follow a road to get water or something to eat if you need it. past walnut grove it is around 10 miles to the next very small town where there is supposed to be a store nearby you can get water. I didn't see it when I went through, and haven't made it all the way to bolivr yet.pretty tra Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
