Summary: This trail provides for some nice, typical hill country scenery. The trail has some higher elevation spots that provide decent views out over the lower surrounding areas. There are many side trails, some of which end up in backyards of the many surrounding houses. Much of this trail is void of tree cover, so bring plenty of water in the summer. There are some spots of the trail that are quite rocky, so mountain bike riding might be a challenge. The majority of the trail is pretty easy to navigate. Trailhead: From Oak Hill, take Highway 71 west. Turn left onto Scenic Brook Drive. Follow Scenic Brook until you reach Kirkham Drive, and then turn left onto Kirkham. The road dead ends at the park. From the parking lot, head towards the back of the park. There several 'trailheads' to the trail which you can find by heading towards the right. The play-scape has been rebuilt and is great to add to the hike. My kiddos love to play then go in to the trails. there is a little creek that with good rain does have water. if you are introducing your kiddos to hiking or a safe play-scape in the SHADE!!! this is a perfect park. This place is a joke. It's a bunch of picnic tables and an open area with some "trails" that don't lead anywhere. Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
