Summary: This is a great hike for people of all ages. There are a few places where there are loose rocks, but most people in fair physical condition should be able to navigate this trail. The view of the waterfall and the valley makes it well worth it. As I mentioned in the trailhead section of this report, there are several trails to explore in this area, just about all of them are clearly marked. Note: some trails are specifically for hikers, others are for Mt. bikers. You may see people on bikes on the hiking trails, and most people don't seem to mind, but be aware on blind corners that there may be mt. bikers present. If you have a GPS unit and are interested in Geocaching, there are several caches in the area to find. If you have further questions, you cane-mail me at tsugihara@topproducer.com Trailhead: There are multiple trail heads in the area. The most common is at the top of 29th street. There is a parking lot, and the trail head is clearly marked. There are other trails in the area, but if you stay on the upper trail, it will take you to the waterfall trail. If you stay on the trail's by the river, it will take you right to it. The other common trail head is on the south side of Mt. Ogden park. There is also clearly marked trail heads from this location. If you look on the side of the mountain, you will see two copper/rust colored water tanks. The trail to the waterfall is about 40-50 yards above the tanks. Reviewed by Blair on 4/21/2013 This is a great hike. Just did it for the first time. It took us 50 minutes from the parking lot to arrive at the falls. We stopped 2 or 3 times along the way to rest. I am 54 years old. It is fairly steep. There were a lot of hikers going up and coming down. It is a beautiful canyon. The younger kids hiked upon on top of the falls and said that they could see the entire valley from up there. Lots of creek water available for drinking. 
Reviewed by AEM on 7/23/2012 I love this hike and have been many times. Today I took the three kids I watch who are 2, 5, and 7 along with my 9 year old brother they had a blast! It took us about four hours with breaks and lunch at the top, but they had fun and loved the waterfall!
Reviewed by JT on 6/12/2012 This is a beautiful trail. My 4'9" 8 month pregnant friend made the hike so it is not that bad, but DO take water and take your time. It's an actual hike, climbing over rocks and tree limbs. There is a scenic rout to take but it takes much longer to accomplish. This is one of my favorite places to hike. Its beautiful, and you get a work out, but it wont kill you if you take it easy and at a good pace. I agree with Oak on saying it was inconsiderate for the graffiti, ruins the beauty and tarnishes the enjoyment for those of us who know nothing about the death - but it was ignorant to be so offensive to the individual who had passed.

Reviewed by Dusty on 8/29/2011 Good area to climb we had fun. Take plenty of water and be ready to do some climbing in a few parts. We will return to climb this location again. Note the second part of the climb is very rocky.
Reviewed by Viewer on 8/18/2011 I was glad that I ran into hikers that have already been there because the trail isn't very well marked at the switch backs. I enjoyed this hike. The last stretch to the waterfall was rocky.
Reviewed by CAH on 7/13/2011 Fantastic hike! Waterfall is beautiful. This is def. a great incline hike! Trail can be slick and rocky. View is amazing at the top! Husband and I took our 4 children, ages 9-12, they did much better than I did! I was slightly disappointed at some of the OTHER hikers on the trail, some were rude, pushing others aside to get by instead of waiting patiently. We will do this hike again.
Reviewed by Chad, Z. on 6/1/2011 Just got home from this hike, we took our children with us and for the most part we didn't have to carry them much, their are 7, 6, 3 year old twins. I would do it again. As a tip I would suggest not keeping your digital camera in your pocket. Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
