DSNA - La Cueva Loop Trail.

Summary: This trail can be hiked in either direction. This descriprion is counter-clockwise. From the front of the Visitors Center head left to the Dripping Springs Trail Head. Follow the Dripping Springs Trail to the 3/4 mile point, where you will meet the junction of the Crawford Trail. Take the left fork on to the Crawford Trail. At about 1.4 miles you will meet the junction of the Fillmore Canyon Trail. You may detour right into Fillmore Canyon or continue on the main trail. At about 2.35 miles you arrive at La Cueva, the Hermit's Cave. After leaving the cave continue along the trail to return to the visitor's center.
Trailhead: From the junction of I-10 and I-25, follow I-25 north one mile to the University Ave Exit. Turn right (east) on University Ave. University Ave will turn into Dripping Springs Rd. Follow Dripping Springs Rd east for about 5 miles until the pavement ends. Continue an additional 2.5 miles to the junction of Dripping Springs Rd and Baylor Canyon Rd. Just a little further ahead on Dripping Springs Rd you will find the paved entrance to Dripping Springs Natural Area. The entrance fee is $3 per vehicle. (Lat:32.32994 Lon:-106.59028)
