Summary: This hike will take you past some old structures left over from when it was the Merrick Bar-0 ranch. It is an old ranch road so it is a double track mosst of the way. On the backside of this trail you get some beatiful view of the countryside. This would be a good hike for kids as it is pretty flat and there is plenty to see. When beginning the hike look in the old barn to see an abandoned military truck that is probably WWll vintage. The trail ends at the road and you will have about a 1/4 mile walk back to your vehicle.
Trailhead: After getting a map from the ranger headquarters find campsites 128/129/130 off of County road. Park at the campsite location and trail head is across the street. (Lat:29.62475 Lon:-99.17486)
