Summary: This is an easy hike with a big reward at the end. The trail actually goes on for a total of 18 miles round trip but we just hiked to the waterfalls for a picnic. There were lots of wildflowers and butterflys when we did this hike in mid-June. This area is not accessible until Hwy 20 opens usually in May. Lots of different people use this trail, mountain bikers and joggers in addition to hikers so be alert. Trailhead: Drive 4.2 miles west of Mazama on Hwy 20. Turn left on Sandy Butte-Cedar Creek Road #200. You will reach the trailhead in 1.2 miles. The trail is well marked.
