Summary: This is an easy hike through wooded terrain with views of Summersville Lake along the way. In the past I have seen turkey and deer in the area as well as other wildlife. The pay off is at the end of the trail when you've reached Long Point. The view of the lake is great and would be a perfect lunch spot. Be carefull around the cliff, there are several crevices that a person can fall through. Trailhead: Turn off U.S. 19 onto Summersville airport road. Follow this road to the airport. Before turning into the airport, you will see a red gate accross the road. This is your parking and beginning point.
