Summary: This is a beautiful trail in of itself but one of its most important functions is to serve as an access trail to many of the trails in the Monte Sano System including Stone Cut Trail, Stone cut bypass trail, Logan point trail and Mountain mist trail. The trail gives a look at some of the nicer hardwood stands in the park. The trail does have some elevation change, and is rated moderate by the local guide.
Trailhead: Follow State Park Signs to Monte Santo state park. Once in the state park Follow Nolan Avenue to the park office. There you can pick up the Monte Sano State Park Map and guide (Necessary). Follow the signs to the overlook which will lead you to the blue blazed N Plateau trail. Follow the blazes through the overlook parking lot to the left (facing the overlook) this will lead you to the Trail head which is shared with one of the many biking trails in the park.
