Summary: Just east of Meyersdale one will come across a gaping hole in the trail. The Bowest Bridge is being dismantled and will be moved here to bridge this gap. In the meantime, there is a little bit of an off-trail bypass.

Once that is done, you will easily be able to get to the 910 foot Keystone Viaduct. Two of the support pillars were knocked out to straighten the road below and the three spans were replaced by a single girder.

And above it all are the power turbines of the FPL Energy Wind Farm.

This section is steeper than the rest of the trail to the north with a 0.8% grade up towards Big Savage Tunnel.
