Summary: THIS IS A WONDERFUL SHORT WALK ALONG BEAVER LAKE ALONG THE OLD RAILROAD GRADE.THE TRACKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

THE PROFILE SHOWS YOU GO UP AND OVER THE HILL BUT THE RAILROAD HAS CUT A PATH THROUGH IT WITH NICE BLUFFS ON BOTH SIDES.

Trailhead: FROM EUREKA SPRINGS TAKE HWY. 23 NORTH TO HWY 187 GO WEST AND OVER THE ONE LANE HISTORIC BRIDGE TO THE TRAIL HEAD,FROM THE NORTH TAKE HWY. 23 SOUTH TO HWY 187 GO WEST OVER BRIDGE TO TRAIL HEAD. (Lat:36.47294 Lon:-93.76874)

This was a very pleasant walk that follows along the White River. I think the most interesting part of it was hearing cars drive over the old Beaver Bridge. The horrible noises that bridge makes tends to get me uneasy about driving over it. It is a very beautiful bridge though. The trail itself eventually comes to the old pylons of a railroad bridge. A small side trail heads off to the right but I didn't follow it since it had started to rain.
