Summary: From the trailhead this trail is very easy to follow, however it is not for the faint of heart. The trail becomes very narrow and loose in sections with drop-offs that measure in the hundreds of feet. The views are spectacular. Trailhead: From the town of Ouray head South out of town on Highway 550. When you reach a tunnel, pass through it to the far side and look for parking on the left (East) side of the road. Park here, and walk across the road to the trailhead.
