Summary: This is a good little hike that offers a nice wooded trail with lots of Rhododendron, Laurel, Pine, Oak and other hardwoods. This is rated moderate by the Park Service but is more on the easy side. This is a great stroll for the family with a beautiful overlook into Bearwallow Valley and off towards Jocassee and other point of interest that you can find on the information board located on the platform. While you are here you might want to check out Bearwallow Falls, it is a bit harder with a good bit of downhill to reach the platform. I hope you enjoy this beautiful place. See you on the trail !!! Trailhead: From Greenville, SC, reach the park by traveling on US 276 north to SC 11. Take SC 11 south toward Walhalla, SC, and turn north on SC 130, which becomes NC 281 at the North Carolina state line. Continue north on NC 281. The Grassy Ridge Access (west side of the park) is approximately seven miles north of the state line on the right.
