Cam-Boh Trail

Highlights:

Easy hike with picnic tables and great views of Panther Peak
Near:Tucson, AZ
Scenery:
Distance:5 miles round trip
Elevation Gain:200 ft
Hike Time:2.5 hours
Difficulty:Easy
Trail Condition:Well maintained trail
HikeType:Out and Back

Summary: There are a few ways to start this hike; I prefer starting at the paved parking lot described in the trailhead directions below. This is a relaxing hike that starts in a sandy wash. After about a mile and a half the trail leaves the wash and becomes a typical desert trek.

The next mile into the Cam-Boh picnic area gently climbs to spots with nice views of Panther Peak to the north and the Santa Catalinas to the East.

Once at the Cam-Boh picnic area you can escape the desert heat under the ramada. The picnic area has many tables and grills, as well as a restroom.

For the return, it back the way you came.

Trailhead:  From Speedway and Campbell drive west on speedway to the I-10 Frontage Road. Turn right (north) on Frontage Rd. During I-10 construction follow Frontage Rd. to W Ina Rd. Turn left at W Ina Rd and go 2.8 miles. Turn left at N Wade Rd which takes a slight right onto W Picture Rocks Rd after half a mile. Following W Picture Rocks Rd for 1.2 miles you will see a paved parking lot on the right. (Lat:32.32792 Lon:-111.13057)
