Summary: The northern section of the Clarion-Little Toby creek trail is crushed limestone surface that for several miles near Carman parallels active rail. There is no fence separating the trail from the rail so show caution. Trailhead: The lot at Ridgway is south on Water Street off of Main St just to the east of the bridge across the Clarion River. (N41 25.182 W78 44.049). There are no amenities along the trail or at the trailhead but there are plenty of places within Ridgway itself, including Loves Canoe Rental which also rents bicycles. The middle parking area at Carmen is just to the east of where PA Route 949 crosses Little Toby Creek. (N41 22.015 W78 49.266) The short distance from the parking area to the trail itself is not suitable for bikes so bikers might want to continue south on Twp.Rd. 318 to park at the State Game Lands parking area at Croyland.
