Summary: A very easy hike that gives you an awesome view of the Devils Backbone, a most impressive geological formation. There are numbered stops along the trail, several have benches that you can sit on and enjoy the plant and animal life that abounds with the unique geological formations. There are interpretive brochures at the trail head that give you a description of the area's history and wildlife. When the area is not closed for nesting of Ravens the view of the Front Range from the Keyhole is very impressive. If one wishes they can contine on for another 3.5 miles and do the North Loop thru the hills. There are facilites available at the trail head, which has ample parking.
