Summary: This 'trail' is actually a wide paved path suitable for walking, jogging, or riding a bike. It is an easy walk, with average scenery. You can leave the path and explore some of the grassy and wooded areas encircled by the loop. There is also a geocache hidden in this area. Due to Mopac being so close by, there is quite a bit of road noise when walking the path. Despite this, it's a nice park in South Austin and a great path to get some exercise! Trailhead: Take Mopac (Loop 1) South to the Davis Road exit. Head west on Davis and turn right onto Beckett Road. Dick Nichols Park will be on the right down Beckett a short way. There is a large parking lot. From the parking lot, the trail (paved path) is easy to find and you can walk it in either direction.
