Summary: This is a nice natural diversion located in the midst of eastern Jefferson County. When you need a quick nature fix, and you don't have much time, this loop trail packs a lot of diversity in a mile and a half. Turning right at the first trail intersection, you'll quickly be walking through a tunnel of small trees and bushes. Soon afterward, the trees grow larger, and the undergrowth opens up as you walk along side the trails namesake, Goose Creek.

As you veer away from the creek, you will pass a small orchard, and come to another trail intersection. Ignore the sign directing you to turn left, and continue straight past a small fenced cemetary on your left. You will soon come to the crushed gravel fitness trail, turn left, then turn left again when you meet the old gravel park road. Shortly after crossing the bridge, turn left back onto the Nature Trail. Follow the trail through an open area of grasses and wildflowers and you'll soon be back to the trailhead.

Trailhead: The trailhead is located at a large paved parking area directly off Hurstbourne Parkway in eastern Jefferson County. To reach the trailhead, turn south from Westport Road (SR 1447) onto Hurstbourne Parkway. Travel 0.67 miles, and turn left into the parking area. The trailhead is in the southeastern corner of the parking lot. (Lat:38.27957 Lon:-85.56532)
