Summary: Lots of birds and other wildlife use this area. The hike itself is a rather easy walk, along a well maintained dirt trail. this trail follows the profile of the lake, but more trails are available that meander through the GreenBelt system of parks. Some of these trails can be slightly demanding, but have no major elevation changes. The length of your hike can be of personal preference, from the .9 mi loop around the lake, or connecting to the other GreenBelt parks by connecting trails. Making any length possible. Several Geocaches are available in this system of parks.
Trailhead: This park is located in Waterloo, IA. On Martin Rd. Which is found 2 mi North of highway 20, and 1/2 mi West of Highway 63. Ridgeway Ave lays 1/2 mi south of Martin Rd. (Lat:42.47774 Lon:-92.38946)
