Summary: This is a very easy walk around Harper Lake. The area is a wildlife refuge, so you might see some animals or birds. You can start either way and loop around back to the start. Trailhead: Go to Louisville. From S. Boulder Rd, turn south on McCaslin Blvd. Travel about 0.6 mi and then turn east on Washington Ave. Parking is right there on the corner. It was a great place for me to train for my half marathon because it was almost one mile around and easy to count my laps. Across the street from the lake is a ton of Open Space and a dog park, no dogs allowed at the lake though! Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
