Summary: A nice loop hike around two small lakes in very southern Indiana. Beautiful views of the lakes and some nice rock outcroppings. The trail is steep in places because it traverses the hills with no switchbacks due to improper trail location. The trail is also very muddy and eroded, so be prepared for wet and muddy feet. Overall, the scenary is worth the poor trail conditions. Although it is a single-use, hiking only trail, it is quite apparent there is local ATV use with no evidence of attempts of restricting this use by the National Forest Service. Rangers at the Bedford office were notified about the poor trail conditions and the ATV use. Trailhead: From I-64, exit onto SR37 south. Follow SR37 south approximately 2 miles to sign for Lake Celina/Indian Lake recreational area on west side of road. Turn west onto entrance road. Follow road to trailhead sign on southside of road, approximately 1 mile east of Indian Lake boat ramp where road ends.
