This was a pleasant stroll - not really what I would call a hike. I did get to see some nice birds and take some great bird pics so I can't complain! Good place to take family when visiting.

It is a very short hike but very beautiful any time of year,The trail is all over a wooden walkway due to it being hard/ impossible to actually walk through the marshy water. In the spring and summer it isn't much of a wetland because of drought but it is very calm and beautiful (an awesome location for yoga with areas where the boardwalk trail branch off away from the main foot traffic) In the fall it is very marshy and I even saw a beaver there once (but that is very rare considering that I don't know anyone else who has seen one there) Winter is my favorite time of year there but be careful because the boardwalk gets very slick. All of the wetland freezes over and it is VERY beautiful especially when it snows.
