Summary: This hike is along a wide dirt trail that is superbly maintained. Cardinal Trail; about 1/2 mi into the hike you will cross one of the cleanest streams around, by means of a nice wooden bridge. In the spring of the year the ground is covered with Wild Bluebells, in varitable sea of light blue, and the air is filled with a wonderful fragrance. Many other Wild Flowers are also present, and the birds are everywhere. The trail will join up with the local Bike/Nature trail for the second half of your walk. This portion will be on a nice paved surface. As you return to the parking area on the south side you will encounter the remains of an early 1900's Cabin. Hope you enjoy this area.
