Summary: Start hiking East towards the saddle. When you get to the saddle head South towards the peak. You are scrambling up and over Lava Rock. When you get to the top you will find a cairn with a sign in book. The views are breathtaking for 360*. Looking WestNorthWest is Frenchman Mountain. Also the views of Lake Mead & Lake Las Vegas are great. Trailhead: From the intersection of Lake Mead Blvd & Nellis Blvd, follow Lake Mead 8.9 miles & turn right on a gravel road across from a sign that reads "Lake Mead Remediation Area". Drive 0.8 miles & take the left fork for 1.5 miles & make another left. Drive 1.7 miles & make a right that heads for the tall mountain (Lava Butte). Drive 1.2 miles make another left and drive 3.0 miles & park at the Electric Tower. The tower has a yellow sticker on it with the numbers 292-4 which you can see when you park.
