For cars it is impossible to traverse, but 4x4s will have no problem. Cars have to park and walk down Burnt Meadow to get to the orange trailhead. The lake is nice, but only for views, not for swimming. Wildlife and ticks are abundant in this area- we counted ten dear, seven ticks, and one bear cub. The loop isn't interesting enough to make it worth the mileage. Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
