Summary: There is an access fee to these falls for $3 per adult. From the nature center simply follow the labeled trail as it leads you into the canyon. You will enter the canyon on a metal walkway. From the walkway you can choose to simply enjoy the views or descend a stairway down to the base of the falls where the temperature will be around 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperatures.
Trailhead: Take Highway 550 South out of Ouray. The road will veer west then switchback east, just after that switchback is a right turn. Turn off on that dirt road and look for another immediate right turn with a sign for Box Canyon. Follow that road to the large parking lot. (Lat:38.01824 Lon:-107.67771)
