Summary: One of the more heavily trafficed sections of the Mountour Trail because of Cecil Park this also features the National Tunnel. While not very long (623 feet) it does not go straight through the hill so you can just barely see one end from the other because of the bend.

Below Hendersonville, there are several incomplete sections of the trail so you will have to take an on-road bypass to get to Thompsonville and the section of the Mountour known as the Arrowhead Trail.

Trailhead: To get to the Venice trailhead (N40 19.210 W80 13.866) , take I-79 to Route 50 west at Bridgeville. Follow route 50 about 7 miles to the 50/980 intersection in the town of Venice. At the intersection, turn left onto route 980. Travel uphill about 150 yds to the trail entrance (and parking area) on the left side of the road.

To access at Hendersonville (N40 17.997 W80 9.243) take I-79 to the Southpointe/Hendersonville exit (exit 48). At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn east towards Hendersonville. Turn left at the stop sign onto Morganza road, and then downhill to the intersection with Oriole Drive.

There is also parking, restrooms, water and picnic areas at Cecil Park (N40 19.069 W80 13.336), parking at McConnell Rd, a water fountain at Cecil-Henderson Rd. (N40 18.772 W80 10.283) and another water fountain off the trail near the baseball fields in Hendersonville.
