Summary: West on Highland Drive then the bike path, follow bike path to Harrison Blvd, then right or west on Harrison. As it crosses 53 the road will become Oak Creek Drive (stay in the bike lane). The road will branch, stay right on Oak Creek Drive. The pavement ends at the Oak Creek orange gate. This is the 600 or Patterson Road through McDonald Forest, this is where you will start a long climb to the Dimble Hill junction. At the top continue on the 600 road down to the Lewisburg Saddle. At the bottom, take a right onto the 610 road and follow it to the junction of 610 and 612.4 road or the "woops" road. Turn right on the the 612.4 and start a steep uphill climb. At the top you will start down through the "woops" which are quick dips as the road crosses 5 major streams and several smaller ones. Watch the 2nd to last on as the road is washed out and there is a 2 foot gap. Then go left on the 612 to Crescent Valley Drive, go right, at Highland go right back to your start. Trailhead: From I-5 or HWY99 follow signs into Corvallis, Oregon follow roads to Circle Blvd and head west then take a left or go south on Highland Drive to the Osborn Aquadic Center, this is your starting point. But, this hike can be started at any point along this loop. Corvallis have been voted one of the bike/hike friendly cities in America, so where you have to be on a paved road almost all of it will have a bike lane for you to use. This is good hike for all weather because of the paved roads involved.
