Summary: Cross the paved road from the parking area. Find the trail that crosses the bridge. Across the bridge there is a large clearing with benches for scout classes and nature talks. There are two trails on the left. Take either one. You will return out the other. I prefer the left-most trail to start. This trail is great for dogs, small children, and inexperienced hikers. Bring Grandma too.
Trailhead: From the junction of I-10 and Trans-Mountain road, go east on Trans-Mountain road 3.8 miles. Turn left at the park entrance. Stop and pay the park fee at the gate, or proceed to the ranger booth as the signs direct. Once past the ranger booth, proceed into the park and follow the main road to the parking area at 31.92157 -106.51285. (Lat:31.92162 Lon:-106.51302)
