Summary: You can do this hike in either direction, but I like to go this way. At the information kiosk, go left (south) on a single track trail called Homestead, will will join with a fire road where you'll go right, then right again. A the junction of 6021, go left and start a long sustained climb to the top of 6021. At the top, this road becomes 770 which works its way across and down to the junction with 700 & 680. Stay right and take the 680 which heads down to the junction of 600 (or Patterson), take a right and follow the road back down to the parking lot.
Trailhead: From Corvallis, follow Harrison Blvd west. Harrison will become Oak Creek Road as it crosses 53rd Street. Follow Oak Creek road till it ends at the OSU Oak Creek research facility. There is a small parking lot, information station, and porta-john. (Lat:44.6033 Lon:-123.333)
