Summary: This is a perfect hike for the family. The trail is a self guided trail with numbered stops along the way. When you enter the park get the brochure that is the information that goes with the numbered stops. It is a pretty cool thing as you can let the kids have fun and learn a little along the way. There is a waterfall and a couple bridges for everyone to enjoy. This park has some tougher trails in the park as well as a number of things to do, swimming. boating, fishing etc. The parks proximity to Greenville makes it the perfect quick getaway for the day. Trailhead: There are several ways to get there so I will pick one. From Greenville head north on hwy. 276 to hwy 253 at Cherrydale point. Turn right onto 253 and get in the left lane. Take a left onto State Park Rd. From here head straight for about five miles and bear left. There are plenty of signs for you to follow. The trailhead is at the first picnic spot on the right once you enter the gate.
