Summary: This is a great trail for the little ones and eve I learned some things about the area from the interperative signs along the way. There is some steep uphill but as a whole this is a great hike. There are lots of things to do here from fishing, swimming and hiking to camping and picnics. It's a nice little gem not to far out of the way. I hope you enjoy. See you on the trail!!! Trailhead: From Greenville head North on Hwy. 276 through Marietta. Turn right onto Hwy 11 proceed for several miles to the park on the left. Take a right at the first intersection and proceed to the field directly in front of you. Reviewed by Lisa on 9/24/2007 This was an especially nice hike for me. I am only 2 months out from a total knee replacement and take pride in the fact that I was able to hike this moderate trail so soon after my surgery. I would definitely take this hike again as I feel like there was probably a lot that I missed due to watching where my feet were going! LOL I was surprised at finding a cigarette butt left on the trail and a couple of plastic cups left behind by ignorant people. Come on people! It takes millions of years for one of your nasty cigarette butts to break down naturally. Overall, this is a great way to spend an afternoon. Nice, short hike and beautiful scenery.
