Ringwood State Park Cupsaw Brook Loop

Summary: Catch red on white blazed Ringwood Ramapo trail, cross bridge over stream then cross Sloatsburg Road. Climb a fairly steep section then bear left onto the yellow blazed Cooper Union Trail. Take this downhill until it meets the blue blazed Cupsaw Brook Trail turn rignt onto it. Follow the blue blazes up hill, then down and along an old woods road. It soon joins the red blazed Ringwood Ramapo and follows a stream and crosses a swamp. Just after the swamp and a stream crossing the Ringwood Ramapo splits off to the right. Follow it back to your car.
Trailhead: Route 287 to Sklyline Drive exit. Take Skyline drive to end and make right onto Greenwood Lake Turnpike. Continue several miles and make right onto Sloatsburg Rd (follow signs for Ringwood State Park). Continue on Sloatsburg Rd, then bear left into Ringwood State Park entrance (fee charged Mem day through Labor day).. Continue past main parking, through picnic area. Make left and there is parking for about 10 cars near the abandoned concession stand. Trailhead is across from parking. (Lat:41.14151 Lon:-74.25017)

Loved this hike and how easy it was to follow Brian's directions - THANKS!! Good short hike, challenging in sections. Enjoyed putting our feet in the stream at the end.
