Nice easy hike back to the falls from the parking area. We were there in late August, excellent time although September might be best when the trees are turning. When around the falls, be sure of your footing on the wet rocks. No problem expected if wearing appropriate footwear. If you're into unusual geologic features, this one is a must.

Hiked this over 20 years ago on a regular basis. Taking my kids next week. If I remember, I'll post a new report. But, it was just as described by the person who started this page. Enjoy!

Most excellent little jaunt into the woods. We find that it is a bit more exciting when the trail is still covered in snow and the stream is running full bore. If you get there in early Spring you might catch the river and Falls still bearing it's icy coat.

very easy, short and sweet. nice work out - careful when it is wet (slippery). my husband that does not hike (yes-we feel sorry for him- but that doesn't stop us from hiking) he could even do this one :0)

Nice little leg-stretching hike, good for families with kids and people not into heavy, long hikes. Well maintained trail with lots of space made it perfect for walking with my leashed German Shepherd. Some stairs by the falls which were a tad slippery as it was raining, but unless you're walking where you shouldn't be, you won't get into any trouble. Very pretty walk. :)

I wouldn't hike this again. Past the falls, the trail crisscrosses over the brook. My friend slipped on a mossy rock and fell all the way in. Not the prettiest trail in NH -- there are so many others that are better.

Fantastic hike. The falls are awsome. Standing on the walkways, looking down at the pool is stunning.

Falls are beautiful. Bring walking sticks and go beyond the falls, following the trails. Not for the faint hearted but exceptionally beautiful in the fall and great picture taking. Be ready to cross water a number of times. Happy hiking.....
