Summary: This Arch is a favorite with kids. The arch is nestled between two walls creating a cool atmosphere even on hot days. Deep sand makes for a great play area and the arch is climeable. Many visitors take their shoes off and walk barefoot in the sand. Trailhead: Arches NP is 5 miles north of Moab on highway 191. Maps and brochures are available at the park entrance. Sand Dune Arch is about 17 miles into the park. Parking is roadside only. Care should be taken of traffic along the road.
