Near:Corvallis, OR
Scenery:
Distance:3 miles round trip

Hike Time:1.5 hours

Summary: From the parking lot stay on the gravel road past the gate and follow to the OSU Foresty Club cabin and where you pick up the single track trail. You can go in either direction, but I like to go clockwise. Go left and at 0.07 stay right and head up hill, stay on this main trail all the way to the top of the hill where the trail comes out on the 530 gravel road (there is trail direction sign there). Go right and follow the 530 down to the juction with 500 where you cross over and pick up the Section 36 single track trail again. In 0.14 stay right as the Powder House trail joins in and follow the trail down to Cronemiller Lake, stay to the right and follow along the back side of the lake crossing back over the 500 road for a short 0.17 trail back to the cabin. From there it is back down the road to the car. While graveled and maintained, spots will be muddy in the winter.
Trailhead: From Corvallis Oregon, head north on HWY 99W (3rd Street) approx 5 miles (through the light at the Lewisburg Store) and take a left on Arboretum Road. Then a left into the OSU Peavy Arboretum (at the entrance sign), stay left and follow road to a small parking lot at the Gate. This is the traihead. (Lat:44.6554 Lon:-123.2288)
