Sullivans Stroll

>

Highlights:

A short but steep hike up a heavily wooded canyon that abounds in solitude.
Near:Loveland, CO
Scenery:
Distance:0.8 miles round trip
Elevation Gain:850 ft
Hike Time:1 hours
Difficulty:Moderate
Trail Condition:Poorly maintained trail
HikeType:Out and Back

Summary: A short hike that is good for training for some of the bigger trails that are in the local area. The day I hiked it was starting to snow so I had to leave early. There are several places near the summit that make a nice place to have a picnic. You do get some good views of the Big Thompson Canyon and to the North is Signal Mtn. and you can see where the Bobcat Fire was located.
I will eventually link this hike with the other trails that are on Crosier Mtn.
But the CO weather makes this a hit or miss till spring time.
The Google search does not give much information about this area since it is not a well traveled area. Its definately off the beaten path. And its prime Mountain Lion Country, so caution is advised.

Trailhead: On Rt. 34 just West of the Waltonia Road, on the North Side. (Lat:40.4151 Lon:-105.36638)
