Summary: The trail starts through an open grassy area. If hiking the loop trail in a counter-clockwise direction, the trail soon drops to the level of Fourteenmile creek. There are several spur trails leading to the creek. Be sure and take the first spur trail that leads to the point where the creek empties into the Ohio River. The trail then follows the creek, with steep cliffs on your left. At near the mid-point of the hike, the trail loops around, and climbs to the top of the cliffs. The trail then becomes a ridge hike, affording grand views over the creek and eventually the river. The trail ends as it started, through an open grassy area back to the large parking area. Trailhead: From I-65, take Indiana State Road 62 east for approximately 8 miles. Turn right, into the park shortly past the city of Charlestown, IN. Once in the park, turn right at the first intersection and follow signs to Trail #3.
