Summary: Staring from the kiosk at the parking lot, follow the paved trail back towards the historic Brecksville Nature Center. Follow the yellow trail blazes past the small amphitheater and down the steps in the valley behind the nature center. You will cross the creek twice, and several side streams, and ascend and redescend into this placid little valley.

After your second ascent, you will pass through the Harriet Keeler Memorial, and out into a Tall-grass prairie, maintained by the park district to preserve a part of Ohio's biological heritage.

Along the trails are several interpretative signs; identifying trees, describing what a prairie is, and about gypsy moths.

The trail takes you back past the Nature Center (open daily from 9:30am-5:00pm), then back out to the parking lot.

Trailhead: Hike starts from the Parking area near Harriet Keeler Memorial Picnic Area off of Chippewa Creek Drive in Brecksville Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks. Park can be accessed from Brecksville Road (Oh Rt 21), Ohio Route 82, and Riverview Road. (Lat:41.31901 Lon:-81.61565)
