Summary: This is a good hike to take the kids on. The trail is very well maintained and has stone steps that have been set into every climbing segment.The best feature for kids on this trail is the plant life learning journey stations posted along the way. This short trip will take you from the paking area down through a small (dry) wash then up a ridge that provides a view with a 35 miles radius. Trailhead: From Tucson, follow Speedway west as it becomes Anklam road and continue west over Gates Pass until you come to Kinney Road. Turn right on Kinney, follow it passed the Sonora Desert Museum and the Visitors Center until it intersects Hohokam road. Turn right onto the dirt Hohokam Road and drive to the sign that marks the trailhead.
