Summary: A pleasant hike around the Windows Arches in Arches NP. Elevation is determined by how high you want to climb but the general hike is mild. The trail leads to both north and south windows and then around the backside of the sandstone upthrust, and gives good views of the surrounding area and the Manti-LaSalle mountains to the southeast. Trailhead: Arches NP is 5 miles north of Moab on highway 191. Maps and brochures are available at the park entrance.The Windows primitive loop is in the Windows area of Arches NP and the turnoff, to the right, 10 miles from park entrance is well signed. Parking for the area is two miles from the turnoff.
