Summary: A very short trail but it leads to a nice waterfall. At the start is a collection of historical photos and information. This is a must see if you are in the Boulder vicinity. Trailhead: From Boulder, head west on Canyon Blvd which is Hwy 119. Travel about 9 miles to the parking lot on the south side. Be careful crossing the road, it is very busy. Loved to spend time with the family there. Hope someone can find a way to stabilize the rocks so it can re-open soon. The trail is officially open once more. A tree branch fell in my yard this morning. Ive closed my property off to everyone. Boulder Falls can be seen partially from the road(119)We went Saturday 5/22/10. Beautifyl sunny day. Revewieng the closure notices(mind you on line closed since last Oct. 2009) we made the decision to risk the 20to 40 ft stroll on the unblocked path to get the full veiw. Following others that made the initial decision. well worth the so called risk. If rocks fell in October through all the storms we have had this winter and spring what has fallen ...has fallen already. I think it perfectly safe with the option of getting a citation (no forest rangers around nor St.Patrols that we could see) Less then 2 min to view point from road. My Grand parent were from this area and I'm from California, needed to risk it. Needs to be opened back up. The trail is closed for good reason. Don't be STUPID! A woman was KILLED and several people injured. Yes, it's closed, but people still go up there (and a few die from climbing outside their bounds). You'll be fine, just be careful leaving your car somewhere that indicates you have trespassed. i came up from Mississippi to see my daughter she took me to the falls yes it was closed due to falling rocks but it was breath taking you don't see stuff like that just every day i was there 8/ 15/ 09 As of 8/30, Boulder Falls is still closed.
