Summary: This trail starts in an old part of Boulder with a quick elevation climb to get the heart pumping. Once on the mesa, follow the trail into the trees and around to the left for a short loop. You will be on the Mesa trail for a short while. Notice what selective tree removal has done while you hike. There is a map at the trailhead. Trailhead: In Boulder, head west on Baseline from Broadway. Turn south at 17th and proceed four blocks. Turn left and park by the trailhead.
