Be careful. This is a very nice trail. Be warned- the sun can be very hot and it is easy to get sunburned. In the mornings and evenings, snakes tend to bask stretched out across the trail. You may also see hawks, rabbits, and a host of livestock. The hike is not a difficult one. However, as of 8/15/2005, the trailhead in Louisville is obscured by some construction. Go South along Front St until you come to the construction site of a new park- there's a large sign on your right. continue a short ways past this construction, and on your left you should see a trail. This is Coal Creek Trail. Cross the ditch and begin your hike! Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous.
