Summary: A very short trail but it leads to a nice waterfall. At the start is a collection of historical photos and information. This is a must see if you are in the Boulder vicinity. Trailhead: From Boulder, head west on Canyon Blvd which is Hwy 119. Travel about 9 miles to the parking lot on the south side. Be careful crossing the road, it is very busy. Very nice! i loved hiking here. The scenery is just breathtaking here, and the water is very beautiful. enjoyed the hike very much the falls where gushing with water just reciently too! This is one of our favorite short hikes. It is so peaceful and beautiful. When the river is not full we have crossed over to the fall. This is where my husband proposed to me.....another reason why we love this place I took this "trail" during one of the hottest days this past summer with my husband, 13yr old daughter and her friend. It was a refreshing treat to an unbearable day. There is also a "tubing river" nearby with plenty of intertubes to rent! Can be a fun family outing with a picnic. This is a very nice spot to check out if you are driving between Ned and Boulder. It's hardly a hike, as you can almost see the end from the trail head, but it's a beautiful scene of the falls. I carried my son in a pack and had no trouble, however I would not try this if the ground was wet or snowy. There is one spot in particular that could be quite dangerous in un-dry conditions. We will definitely stop again. Notice: Traveling in the backcountry can be hazardous. You are responsible for informing yourself about these hazards and taking necessary precautions.
